Doctor
Kenneth F. Jew, O.D.
Dr. Jew is proud to have grown up in San Francisco and ultimately return to serve the local community. After completing his K-12 studies locally (Jean Parker Elementary, Marina Middle School, and Lowell High School), Dr. Jew obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) degree from the Southern California College of Optometry (a.k.a. SCCO; now a division of Marshall B. Ketchum University).
In addition to providing quality patient care, Dr. Jew had the honor of serving as President, Secretary, and Treasurer of his optometric class at SCCO. Dr. Jew completed externships at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, the David Grant Medical Center (within Travis Air Force Base), and at the Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Since returning to Northern California, Dr. Jew has provided optometric care ranging from routine eye exams to laser refractive surgery pre and post-op care to a diverse patient base in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dr. Jew wore glasses and contact lenses and subsequently had LASIK done on his own eyes. He is happy to discuss what methods of vision correction may be best suited for your visual needs.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Jew is fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese) and looks forward to helping you and your family and friends achieve and maintain clear vision and optimal ocular health.
